Pythagoras

Pythagoras multi-detection

This system was specially developed for the medium risk segment where microwave detection systems are not applicable for lack of space. This is often only the case at distribution centres and such, where every square metre is packed; this leaves little space between the goods to be protected and the fencing. The Pythagoras is a detector based on microwave technology combined with infra-red technology. The digital signal processing with fuzzy logic makes for a very reliable detector in less-than-ideal circumstances. This multitude of customizable settings for all sorts of “and-or-if” situations make the Pythagoras a true all-rounder and problem solver.

Pythagoras (multi-detection system)

How it works: Intelligent digital fuzzy logic with triple signal recognition consisting of radar, infra-red and Doppler. Ideal for difficult terrain where one detection technology is not sufficient.
Location: Works best on a flat, clean, open terrain with no obstacles blocking the line of sight between transmitter and receiver.
Range: One hundred or 160 metres.
Alarm zone: Per set (transmitter and receiver).
Weather influence: Practically none.
Small animals: Small animals do not set off the alarm.
Advantages: Suitable for detection in narrow corridors and tight spaces. The three technologies cancel out each other’s weaknesses.
Drawbacks: Detection probability with double detectors decreases.
Application: Projects with a medium to high risk profile.
